When i was in New York in January, i ended up buying the Josie Maran Coconut Watercolor Cheek Gelee in Coral Oasis.
With the weather being gorgeous recently, i thought it was the perfect opportunity to whack out this baby, but boy was i lost!

When i swatched it in Sephora, it came out a gorgeous satsuma shade, and it seemed that you could build it up for more colour. I also loved the texture of it, blending beautifully on my hand but it did not translate like that on my face!
I used my EX1 Invisiwear Liquid Foundation (review here) as normal and then proceeded to apply the Josie Maran Coconut Watercolor Cheek Gelee. I started applying with my fingers, in the same way that i normally apply any cream product to my cheeks.
As soon as i started tapping this onto my cheeks, it was going very patchy and i don't just mean a tiny bit patchy! There were parts of my cheeks where there was no product at all and was lifting up the foundation. I found the product really hard to blend and it just didn't sit well on top of liquid foundation, which got me thinking how it would be on top of powder! The gel formula is very thick and didn't apply well to the cheeks.
If anyone could help a sister out, i would appreciate any help! I am so gutted that i can't seem to make this product work and really wanted to love it, but i have been left quite disappointed. Has this happened to anyone else before?
