Spring Blush Picks
I have been really enjoying the weather recently and it's got me thinking about my Spring makeup bag, especially my choices of blush. I find that the perfect Spring blush can brighten up the face, so i thought i would share my picks!
Illamasqua Excite
This is one of my favourite Illamasqua blushes! Excite is a coral blush with a strong hint of orange and is packed with a lot of colour. I tend to use this when i have a bit more colour to my face, but it gives olive skin tones a beautiful glow.
Jordana Redwood
A light hand would be needed for this blush and the vibrancy of the red would look stunning on fairer skin tones, as well as warmer skin tones too. It is very pigmented and has the tiniest hint of gold shimmer. This blush gives the skin an instant pick me up.
Milani Corallina
A shimmery pinky, coral blush with gold flecks running through. It is a bit more shimmering than Nars Orgasm, and it's a shade i would prefer to wear in the evening due to the shimmer. Corallina does give the skin a healthy highlighted glow.
MAC Peaches
For those girls who want some colour but not too much, MAC Peaches is perfect. It is a soft, warm coral that compliments all skin tones. I love that it's a matte blusher, so it teams well with many highlighters.
Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush Natural Beauty
This has been my go-to blush over the last few weeks and has become a firm favourite (full review here). It gives me skin a healthy Spring flush and lasts on my skin all day!
*Clarins Multi-Blush Clementine
Clementine isn't quite a powder blush, nor a cream blush....it's more of a hybrid of both. It has the ease of blending like a cream blush, but sets on the skin like a powder. It is a deeper coral with a red undertone, instantly brightening up the face.
Daniel Sandler Watercolour Blush Acid & Trip
I adore these Watercolour blushes! My favourite out of the two is Trip, which is a neon orange. These are super easy to blend, and are perfect for oily skinned girls, as they pretty much set on the skin (full review here). Acid is a bright pink, complimenting lighter skin tones beautifully, but these can be mixed with other Watercolour blushes.
These are the blushes that will be rotating in my makeup bag for a while. The different textures and finishes will give me a bit more flexibility and allow me to play around with different looks for work or when going out in the evening.
What are your Spring picks?

Aqua/Turquoise Glitter Smokey Eyes
Ahhhh everyone loves a bit of glitter now and again, right?! This look is perfect for a night out, a special occasion, or even indian weddings........we know there's gonna be quite a few coming up over the next few months! The glitter shade can always be changed depending on the colour of the outfit, and then finishing off with a nude lip.
I know quite a few people get put off with glitter, because sometimes it can be a bit OTT, but i wanted to show that you can still have a smokey eye with some glitter and still look HOT! Okkk, enough babbling from my end......here's the tutorial! :)

Stila Magnificent Metals Foil Finish Eye Shadow Vintage Black Gold Review
Evening everyone! Long time no speak....or shall i say blog?! I have missed blogging soooo much and yesterday i made some time to sit down and finally blog! Everything has been mega hectic and blogging kinda took a back seat, but i'm back now with a new blog post......
I purchased the Stila Magnificent Metals Foil Finish Eye Shadow back in January when i was in New York (seems like forever ago!) and a few months ago i wore it on a night out.
The texture of this eyeshadow is very unique and should be used with the primer that comes with it. It feels like a hybrid between a powder eyeshadow and a cream eyeshadow, but with more texture to it. If swatched without a primer, you can feel and see the flakes, but when used in combination with the primer, it instantly transforms into an intense sparkle. The foil finish looks stunning and makes the eyes pop!
The vial of primer should have 0.06 fluid ounces, however you can see from the bottle that it's about a quarter full. I think it's very misleading to put that on the packaging when it's clearly not the amount you're receiving! I actually thought i had a faulty bottle, so i did go to Sephora to exchange it and all the others were exactly the same! The other thing that i have noticed six months on, is that the primer has almost turned into a very thick, sticky liquid. So sticky that the dropper doesn't dispense the primer properly!
I wouldn't recommend applying this with a brush, your fingers work better! I tried applying this with a MAC 239 brush and it didn't pick up the product. I then ended up using my fingers and holy moly the pigmentation was insane! I applied a tiny bit of the primer onto my finger and then dipped my finger into the product, layering it on my lids. I love that the intensity of the shadow can be built up, because it doesn't lift the existing eyeshadow from the lids.
Here is the tutorial for the look above, and all products used can be found HERE.
These foil finish eyeshadows are very steep, retailing at £33.50 for just one eyeshadow, which is why i picked them up in America. I admit these are fantastic unique eyeshadows and there is nothing like them on the market. I love how this appears on my eyes, however i personally think something like this can only be worn in the evening.
To be quite frank, i'm not sure if they are worth forking out £33.50 for, and now that my primer has pretty much turned into an unusable sticky goo, i'm kinda on the fence about this product, even though i adore how it looks on the eyes!

Macadamia Flawless 6 In 1 Review
I am a very big fan of keeping my hair care simple, so when i was browsing the Look Fantastic website and came across the Macadamia Flawless, i knew i wanted to give it a try.
Macadamia Flawless is a 6-in-1 product, that claims to cleanse and condition the hair, as well as reducing drying time, detangling, enhancing volume and controlling frizz! Wow that's a lot huh?
It is a thick, mousse like texture that is meant to be applied to wet hair and left on for around 5 minutes. It doesn't foam up like normal shampoos, and i was worried i was going to come out of the shower with greasy hair! However i came out the shower with not only clean hair, but it smelt amazing too!
I wash my hair about 3 times a week, and i have been using the Macadamia Flawless on my in-between wash. I normally leave my hair to naturally air dry and don't tend to style it. I have curly hair, that tends to go very frizzy!
What were the results? My hair felt extremely soft, manageable and there was a reduction in frizz when left to air dry. I didn't really notice the reduced drying time, as my hair is pretty long and thick, but it certainly did everything else!
Overall thoughts? I was pretty impressed with the end result on my frizzy, curly hair but the only downside is how quickly it finishes! For something that is costing you £23.20, i expected it to last much longer, because i'm only using it on every other wash. It is great for those people who are pressed for time in the morning, making your hair feel and smell fab! However, as it only lasts about 10 washes, i don't think i would be repurchasing this again because it doesn't wow me enough to spend £23!

Naked Cosmetics Color Collections Ebony Swatches
Evening guys! How are you all today? A lot of you know that i went to IMATS London last week and picked up a hell of a lot of makeup!
I was keen on visiting the Naked Cosmetics booth, because you can only order the products online and i wanted to really swatch the products beforehand. Lets just say i was mega impressed and ended up buying two stacks!
This is the Ebony stack, which apparently is the most popular stack in their entire collection and i can see why!
All the shades in the Ebony collection have a black undertone to it, allowing you to create a very dramatic look. These pigments can also be used on the lips, face and nails.
They were retailing at IMATS for £30 per stack, or £50 for two stacks. I will be talking about the other stack at a later date. On thesiteyou can purchase them for $59.99 (approximately £35), so the saving wasn't humungous but i was so pleased they were at IMATS!
I can't explain to you how unbelievably rich and pigmented these are! I would prefer to use these pigments wet, even though they can be used dry as well. The intensity of the pigments when used wet are out of this world!
Apologies for not doing them in order.....i didn't realise EB05 and EB06 were the wrong way round! It's Ramadan, so i hope you guys can forgive my forgetfulness!
You can see below how incredible these shades are! EB06 reminds me of MAC's Black Tied, but much more intense. I love how deep these pigments are and my favourite has to be EB03 and EB04!
Swatched wet |
I can't wait to start creating some looks with these beautiful pigments! They are honestly so, so pretty! I'm kinda wishing i had picked up a few more stacks!
If you are based in the UK, you can purchase Naked Cosmetics from Guru Makeup Emporium for £49.95.
Have you tried any of the Naked Cosmetics color collections?

The Perfect Nude Lip
I love a nude lip....who doesn't right? I got a lot of comments in one of my tutorials about the lipstick that i was wearing and thought it was the perfect nude shade for my skin tone, so wanted to share it with you all!
I like using a nude lipstick, and sometimes i like a more pinky undertone and other times i like a brown undertone. It really depends on my mood! My lipstick of choice has been the Smashbox Megatint Long Wear Lip Color in Whirl and then applying a bit of NARS Lip Lacquer in Chelsea Girls on top.
The Smashbox Megatints aren't exactly a tinted lip product, but pack more of a punch. It is made up of 40% water and feels so hydrating and almost wet when you apply it! It has a very smooth texture and i love how it doesn't dry out my lips.
I would describe whirl as a brownish, pinky shade, however on the website it is described as a peachy rose. I think it honestly depends on the skin tone, as i know how different shades can appear on everyone else!
To top off the lipstick, i lurve using NARS Lip Lacquer in Chelsea Girls, which is much thicker than a gloss. Chelsea Girls is a neutral pink, but with a beige undertone to it. I can never wear Chelsea Girls on it's own, as it kinda makes me look ill, but it is my go-to shade to apply over some lipsticks to nude it down.
Smashbox Megatint in Whirl with NARS Chelsea Girls |
I thought i would share one of my nude lipstick choices and i will be filming a nude lipsticks very soon! I promise!
If you like this makeup look, then the tutorial can be found HERE. :)

Makeup Revolution Ultra 32 Eyeshadow Palette in Flawless Review + Swatches
A lot of you makeup lovers have probably heard about Makeup Revolution, as it's pretty much all over the blogosphere!
When i saw the Flawless palette, i was just in awe! All the colours are a mixture of neutrals, which are my kinda shades! There are 32 eyeshadows in the palette, with a combination of mattes, shimmers and glitters.
This entire palette has pretty much all the colours you would want for a day time look, or a glamorous evening look.
The eyeshadows come in a very sturdy casing, with a huge mirror. I was actually pretty surprised at how durable the packaging was, when compared with other drugstore pallets. This palette is perfect for travelling, as it houses all the shades you could possibly want!
I had good use of this palette over the weekend and wanted to share my thoughts......
There are a fantastic range of mattes in this palette, and it's normally pretty hard to find decent matte eyeshadows in drugstore palettes. Smudge was a great transitional colour on my lids, and you may see from the swatches below that a few matte shades didn't really show up on my hand, but showed on the lids.
The shade that probably had quite a bit of fallout was noir, which was the matte black. I sort of expected it, because a lot of matte black eyeshadows tend to have fallout anyway.
The shimmer shades are extremely soft and almost buttery when swatching, however a couple of colours looked a bit different when applied to the lids. I did apply all the eyeshadows over the Urban Decay Primer Potion. I'm curious to know how these eyeshadows would look if applied with a damp brush.....
I wanted to create a super dramatic look to see how good the eyeshadows really were! I have filmed a tutorial on this look, so keep an eye out for this on my channel!
The shades i used were Molton Chocolate, Noir, Pure Chocolate, Smudge and Medal. I was keen to see how well the eyeshadows blended, and i noticed that when i applied Medal using my fingers, it came out much more vibrant than applying with my MAC 239!
All the eyeshadows blended really well, and i was very pleased with how Smudge and Pure Chocolate blended out!
What are my overall thoughts? I have to say for £8 you can't go wrong, and it works out about 25p per eyeshadow!
The quality of the eyeshadows are pretty good, and yes, there are a couple which are chalky and have some fallout, but the majority of the eyeshadows work really well together. A few of the shades aren't as pigmented as some of the others in the palette, however if applied damp, then the vibrancy should increase (hoping!).
There is a great combination of shades and it's a very versatile palette, making it suitable for everyone. I would highly recommend it to people who are new to makeup, or for those who don't want to spend £££ on higher end eyeshadows.
I am eager to see and test out a few other products from their range!

KIKO Unlimited Stylo Lipstick Review + Swatches
Many of you know my love for KIKO and when I was in Barcelona back in May, I ended picking up a few bits!
I can't even begin to tell you how long it took me to choose a few colours, because there are so many to choose from. They have a fab mixture of shades from nudes, to reds to bold colours. I ended up purchasing three gorgeous shades in 7, 12 and 13.
These lipsticks are transfer resistant and last up to 8 hours of wear. The Unlimited Stylo Lipsticks have a semi-matte finish, but are super creamy when applied to the lips. Again, KIKO hasn't failed to disappoint with these highly pigmented lipsticks and they are quite opaque, allowing you to create a beautiful bold lip.
Normally long lasting lip products tend to be quite drying, and I have to say these are very comfortable to wear. They feel buttery on application and almost melt onto the lips, but the staying power is pretty impressive.

The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil Review
Evening everyone! How are you all doing? I wanted to share with you a skin care product that I have been loving recently! There are some evenings where I have enough time to do my step by step evening routine, and there are other nights where I'm so tired that I want something quick and easy!
I had run out of my MAC Cleansing Oil and ended up purchasing The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil. I thought why not give it a go, as it was much cheaper than the MAC Cleansing Oil!
This oil feels slightly thicker than the other cleansing oils that I have used, and OMG, the smell is out of this world! It has a light citrusy scent, and is refreshing to use on the skin.
It works in exactly the same way as other cleansing oils. I apply 1-2 pumps and then massage it onto dry skin. I really massage this into the face, and then add a little water, which emulsifies the product. It turns into a milky consistency and I carry on working it into the skin. FYI this may make your vision blurry!
This oil removes absolutely every trace of makeup and I have been using pretty much every night, as well as after all my tutorials. It hasn't broken me out and my face doesn't feel tight or dry after cleansing. For all those girls who have oily skin, please don't let a cleansing oil put you off from trying this!
It comes in a standard bottle with a pump, and at first the pump kept on squirting out too much product and kinda went everywhere, however I just make sure my hand is right under the pump.
What else is there is say about this product, apart from that I LOVE it! It only costs £10, and works just as well as the more expensive cleansing oils. It is now a part of my daily skincare routine and I don't think I will be ever looking back!
Have you tried this cleansing oil?

Green Eyeliners That Make Brown Eyes Pop
I am slightly fixated on green eyeliners, and I love how they make dark eyes stand out. It's a great way of adding a pop of colour without having to put in too much effort!
Many brands are bringing out kohl pencils in different shades, as not everyone wants to wear black, brown or grey. Greens are perfect to use around this time of year, but i still use them through the colder months as it reminds me of summer!
*Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pen in Emerald Gold has more of a bright green tone to it with gold glitter running through. It's a great pencil to smudge on the lower lash line and don't worry, the glitter doesn't go everywhere!
MAC Eye Kohl in Minted looks like a pencil version of MAC's eyeshadow in humid. Its is a vibrant green with a slight hint of teal. It's not as creamy as some other liners, but I find it really stays put on the waterline.
KIKO Glamorous Eye Pencil in 410 is a deep forest green. I love using this on my upper lash liner and smudging it close to the lashes. The depth of the green looks amazing on people with brown eyes. Again, this stays quite well on the waterline and I also like using this as a base for eyeshadow.
Tom Ford Metallic Moss is a dark moss, and sometimes it appears a blue/brown depending on how the light catches it. This is another great one to use on the upper and lower lash line, however I do find it can sometimes smudge in the inner corners of my eyes when I have used it in the waterline.
All of these eye pencils can be used as eyeshadow bases and I love how just a swipe of green can instantly brighten up brown eyes. I find that using a coloured eye pencil is an easy way to dress up your face without having to use a lot of makeup!
Do you have any favourite greens?

Ben Nye Essentials Eye Palette Review + Swatches
I don't actually have a palette that is solely matte, so when i came across the Ben Nye Essentials Eye Palette at IMATS, i thought it was about time i added one to my collection.
The packaging is a simple, black cardboard palette......kinda similar to the Z palettes with a magnetic closure. I think for those who are makeup artists, this palette will get battered pretty quickly. There's no mirror inside the palette, just a label with all the shades, which is very useful.
These eyeshadows are pigmented and very easy to work with. They are not chalky, nor powdery and barely any fallout. I like how there is a variety of warm and cool shades, making it suitable for pretty much everyone.
I find Vanilla and Shell swatch exactly the same on my skin tone, however both shades are great to use just as a base, or a brow highlighter. I like using Cork as a transitional shade on my lids, as it's almost the same colour as my skin. It's the perfect colour to blend out harsh edges!
Some of these colours will not only be used for eyeshadows, but ideal for filling in the brows and doing contouring.
I have to admit that some of the shades jump from light to dark, and there aren't as many mid-tone colours. This palette is perfect for people like myself......it just has all the shades that i want. I think maybe for people with light skin tone, you may not get full use out of this palette.
Left-Right: Vanilla, Shell, Cork, Mink Stole, Black, Graphite, Smokey Taupe, Black-Brown |
What are my overall thoughts? I am really enjoying using this palette, but it's only a palette that i would recommend to makeup artists or for those who prefer using mattes only, as it retails for about £30. I think there is a great variety of shades in the palette, however some people may not use all the eyeshadows, which will be a waste.
Do you prefer matte only palettes?

I am currently going to be travelling for the next month or so around South East Asia, and this was an opportunity that was sprung on me very recently....i knew i had to accept!
I will be trying to vlog and upload whilst i'm away, however i have scheduled up some videos and blog posts for you guys. The last few weeks have been pretty busy getting organised, and i wanted to make sure i had some content up on mychannel. :)

Everything will resume to normal when i'm back in the country! So i shall say goodbye for now and inshAllah will have a lot to share when i'm back! xXx
