Elemis Pro-Radiance Illuminating Flash Balm Review + Giveaway

The weather here in the UK has been super hot and i mean the hot where your makeup is sliding and slipping off!

Throughout the whole year, my daily moisturizer is the Clinique Even Better Skin Tone Correcting Moisturizer, however i have been finding it a tad too rich for my skin at the moment. I find lotions not hydrating enough for my skin even in the warmer months, so when the Elemis Pro-Radiance Illuminating Flash Balm* arrived, i was eager to give it a go.

The Elemis Flash Balm seems pretty thick when it comes out of the tube and i thought to myself, this is going to be way to rich for an oily gal like me! However, once it has been applied to the skin, it is instantly absorbed in and has a cooling sensation. You only need the tiniest amount, as a little goes a long way.

There is a heavy floral scent to the balm, and I'm not really used to products with strong scent. I don't think it's bad but i prefer products which are other unscented or lightly fragranced.

Elemis Pro-Radiance Illuminating Flash Balm prevents any moisture loss and defend the skin from early signs of ageing. Even though it looks like a thick balm, it is a very light moisturizer, which is ideal for this time of year!

This can be used in a number of ways: as a moisturizer, under your moisturizer or as a primer. It isn't one of those products that helps with pigmentation or evens out skin tone, but more of a product that instantly gives luminosity and radiance to the skin. 

It doesn't leave your skin tacky or excessively dewy and it doesn't sparkle! It doesn't have the typical luminizing particles that you may find in the other products. The only downside is that it doesn't have SPF, however i just ensure that i use a separate SPF or that SPF is in my face makeup.

What are my overall thoughts? I am in love with this moisturizer! I have had so many compliments on how great my skin has been looking, even though i have been barely wearing any makeup. At first i honestly did think it was going to be too rich for me but it is ideal for all skin types and doesn't break me out.
