A Holy Grail Foundation | MAC Studio Sculpt NC44

When I first used this foundation back in 2010, I just didn't get on with it and the colour shade was a bit off even though it was NC42. Fast forward a few years and I thought I would give it another try. I purchased NC44 and let's just say I have been using it pretty much everyday!

It is a gel based foundation, which is perfect for my combination skin. It melds in with the skin on application and it is one of the very few foundations I have come across that doesn't hold onto dry patches.

I love the coverage of this foundation, as it doesn't feel as heavy as MAC Studio Fix Fluid and still makes my skin look pretty much flawless. I like applying this with a beauty blender, because it buffs in the foundation, making it looks super natural. I prefer using foundations that make skin still look like skin......does that make sense?

Studio Sculpt is water resistant, making it great to use in warmer climates because it really stays put! It's one of those foundations that can be built up for a more fuller coverage, but is still light enough to be worn on a day to day basis.

The packaging of the foundation is super handy, because there's no pump to faff around with and is great to travel with as it's a tube!

I have to say this has become my holy grail foundation and is a staple in my daily makeup routine! I can wear it as light or as heavy as i want, and get the perfect base!

What is your holy grail foundation?
