I tend to keep my makeup quite simple for work but last Monday i wanted to give my face a bit of oomph, plus i actually woke up on time, so i didn't have to rush for once! I'm kinda glad it's Bank Holiday Monday tomorrow.....no setting the alarm!

MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation in NC44 was applied using the Real Techniques Stipling Brush....i always go back and forth with this foundation but it evens out my skin and doesn't feel heavy or go cakey.

YSL Touche Eclat No. 3 is an everyday staple of mine and brightens up the under eye area instantly! I also used MAC Select Moisturecover NC42 concealer, as i have the ugliest zit on my face. This is one concealer that is perfect for when your spot goes a bit dry, as it doesn't emphasise the dryness.

To set my base, i used the MAC Blot Powder in Medium-Dark....i think it's time i purchased another one! This powder just sets my makeup and prevents my face from looking too shiny!

I wanted to try out the new addition to my makeup family, and it was the Benefit Watt's Up. I applied this to my cheekbones and blended with my fingers. It gives the cheekbones a golden sheen, but i still want to play around with it a bit more. My blusher of choice recently has been Beg from Illamasqua. It's just a soft pink that's perfect for work!

Now on to the eyes.....

I haven't actually focused on my eyes in a while, so it was kinda nice to put some eyeshadow on for once!

I used Sephora Crayon Jumbo 12H in Dark Taupe Shimmer on the outer V of my eye, and then applied Pewter from the Lorac Pro Palette to the rest of my lid. Then on my outer V, i used Sable and Espresso with a MAC 217 and softly blended it. I used the same colours on my lower lash line as well.

I also used Taupe as a transitioning colour in my crease, as i didn't have a lot of time to blend. Trust me when i say that a transition shade is perfect to blend out any harsh lines and to soften the look when time isn't on your side!

To finish off the look, i used Illamasqua Precision Gel Eyeliner and MUFE Smoky Lash Mascara. I'm trying to make the most of my MUFE Smoky Lash Mascara, as it's coming to end! Boo!

I kept the lips really simple, and stuck to the Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry Me. I prefer keeping it easy on the lips for work, as i prefer being able to reapply without the need for a mirror!

......so that's it!

This took me about 25 minutes to do, which isn't too bad! I want to start using more eyeshadows for work, as i have tons of palettes. I think it's time i have a little rummage through my makeup collection!
