I am loving the REN skincare range and have been avidly using the ClearCalm 3 Cleanser (review coming soon) and for those wanting brighter, radiant skin and any nasty blockages on the face gone, then this is the little miracle worker for you.
This mask is basically radiance and brightness in a bottle, it's not really a mask but more of a treatment peel. Don't worry, it's not one of those peels where your face ends up looking tomato red, and yes, we all remember when Samantha from Sex and the City had that chemical peel!
It is a thick orange gel and kinda reminds me of the Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream consistency. It has a warm, fruity scent and normally 2 or 3 pumps is enough to cover the entire face.
I don't have sensitive skin, however i did feel a slight tingling sensation on my face. It didn't feel uncomfortable nor painful, although i would be cautious if you have sensitive skin. I'm so bad when it comes to masks, because i always try to leave a face mask on for the recommended time, however i get distracted and it always ends up being longer! To remove the mask, i wipe it away with a wet muslin cloth.
How does my skin feel afterwards? Extremely soft and radiant! I tend to use the mask at night, so i see more of a difference the next morning. I have noticed that my acne scars have faded a lot, and there's very little flakiness around my nose. My skin just appears much more even and it certainly reduces the amount of congestion and blackheads on my t-zone. I tend to use this as and when my skin needs a pick me up, or when it feels a bit congested. I find that the bottle lasts much longer this way.
REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask retails at £30, which is pretty steep. Nonetheless, it is one i would recommend and repurchase because i don't think anyone can be disappointed by this gem.
Have you tried this mask? Thoughts?
